Trasie Sands holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Creative Writing with minor studies in Communications from the University of Windsor. As part of her education, Trasie took courses in Drama in Education, Photography and Computer Studies and worked on campus as a Teaching Assistant for both Photography and Drama as well as in the Audio Visual Department for the Communications Department. She later returned to the School of Dramatic Art at the university to train Theatre students in Makeup Art.

Trasie studied four years of Creative Writing with renowned authors such as Bruce Meyer, Alistair MacLeod and Peter Stevens.

Trasie received her New Media and Web Design training from Toronto Image Works in Toronto, Ontario and has developed extensive skills in HTML/CSS and PHP using MySQL databases. In addition, Trasie has 3 years experience working with a shared hosting company in roles such as Sales Support, Technical Support and Domains Management, which saw her managing a fluctuating staff of 2 to 5 representatives. Often asked to provide training and documentation for clients and staff, Trasie has developed skills in Technical Writing, Teaching and Training.

Her experience ranges from Web Design & Development with companies such as Zoo Media, TL Services, The M Group and many other firms to copy writing for online magazines such as Examiner.com.

With more than a decade of online communication, Trasie has been using Internet communities since the days of BBS’s. She is an avid Facebook and Twitter user and an expert in WordPress.
